Once again, Funds for Furry Friends is recruiting volunteers to show their support for animal rescue by getting "caged" for our critters! Participants from Brandon and surrounding communities step up to show their support for the many cats and dogs in need by volunteering to raise bail - or be "caged" until they do! Every penny raised through this fundraiser goes to fund the rescue's expenses for the many animals in our care.
Funds for Furry Friends has no paid employees and is completely volunteer run. The rescue is a nationally registered charity, and has been operating since 2001. To date, over 1100 dogs and countless cats have come through rescue - even the odd rabbit, ferret, rat and a few birds have found new homes through Funds for Furry Friends over the years. The rescue relies on donations to fund it's operations, and Caged for Critters is the rescue's largest event of the year!
Once again, Brandon's Home Depot will play host to the event. Running from 9:00am to 5:00pm, rescue supporters can come and go as they please - stopping in to show support to those who are "caged," have a bite to eat - or to check out our simply outstanding silent auction! Each year, a great number of businesses from Brandon and surrounding area show their support by contributing to our silent auction - which has been absolutely amazing each year!
Come on down - bring the kids (two legged and four) - and show your support for a great cause - Funds for Furry Friends!
